Description:  IMBAREX carminic acid is a fine powder of reddish-brown, produced from the cochineal. Is obtained by a solvent extraction of the carminic acid, eliminating proteins, a crystallization process and finally through a reaction with ammonia. It is spray dried. Provides intense red color solution in low pHs.

Solubility:  Soluble in aqueous solutions in all pH range

Application and Appearance in Food: Bakery products, confectionery, snacks, soups, desserts, soft-drinks and other food products with an aqueous phase. Orange, red and violet hue in the final product, depending on the pH on the food product and amount used.

Soluble in the whole range of pH to use specially in low pH products.

Directions for use:  Dilute using smooth water only at room temperature. Use constant agitation when adding powder.

Storage:  Store in a cool (15°C - 25°C), dry and ventilated area in its proper container tightly sealed.

Shelf life:  If the product is stored under these conditions, it will maintain its properties up to 2 year from the date of manufacture.
