Description:  IMBAREX Water Soluble Carmine R40 is a dark colored water-soluble powder produced from Aluminum Lake and Cochineal Carminic Acid. It is obtained by aqueous color extraction from the Cochineal, followed by a spray-drying process. It provides a yellow-red colored solution.

Solubility:  Soluble in water.

Application and Appearance in Food: Ice-cream, bakery products, confectionery, snacks, soups, desserts, meat, and other food products with an aqueous phase.

Provide reddish hue artificial N°40 in the final product.

Directions for use:  Dilute using smooth water only at room temperature. Use constant agitation when adding powder. After sifting or filtering, add Propylene Glycol (5%), Glycerin (5%), and Potassium Hydroxide (or Ammonium Hydroxide) until pH reaches 11-11.5.

Storage:  Store in a cool (15°C - 25°C), dry and ventilated area in its proper container tightly sealed.

Shelf life:  If the product is stored under these conditions, it will maintain its properties up to 2 years from the date of manufacture.
